The South Athletic Field is an ambitious and critically needed new project that will impact VCS students in a multitude of ways.

Situated on the recently acquired property at the end of Village Avenue, this valuable multipurpose space, will take VCS Athletics to new heights. This new facility will feature state-of-the-art synthetic turf and sports lighting for our thriving softball, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, and football programs; facilitate expanded training and player development; and will include a newly designed hitting and pitching facility.

Spectators will enjoy an improved viewing experience as they cheer on the two-time CIF-Southern Section-champion VCS Softball program. Additionally, school-wide benefits include the creation of new spaces for student activities in grades K-12 and community-focused events.

As Village Christian continues to grow, field-use scheduling conflicts are increasing. This new facility will give VCS student-athletes further opportunities to train and develop – and progress on to the collegiate level. Meanwhile, the field will also alleviate stress on the already-taxed Field of Dreams, freeing up more space for dedicated Elementary activities and events.

Additionally, the South Athletic Field represents a foundational change that will allow for the future construction of a new multipurpose gym/performing arts venue on the current softball field. The long-term vision of this exciting project will elevate both VCS Athletics and Fine Arts, and we hope you’ll partner with us to make it a reality.
